You Are Unique

Making is something that makes me feel unique.

I may not always get it quite right, the things I make might be terrible, a big flop or too simple. They might be great either way it is not my job to be worried about the outcome of who I am or what I do. 

It is just my job to be me.

To live in the space of love and use the talents that I have been given because good or bad, either way they are unique.

How do you feel about your life? 

Are you doing that thing that gets you going or are you just hoping to make it to tomorrow?

Are you living your Uniqueness?

Is there something small that you could do to make yourself happier, living in the uniqueness of yourself.

Is there something that you dream about doing but don't think that it is possible?

I promise you that if you are scared (like I sure am) it all comes down to small steps.

This is the exact reason I am here now. It is by no means perfect. I want to use my uniqueness and my love of making things to make a difference to people and that is incredibly scary for me. I have so many ideas about how to do that and so many reasons not to follow through with it. Right now the first step I can take is being here.

On My Table

Good Morning Monday. 

I seriously love having flowers around my home they always make my home feel so fresh and happy. Today I have some that I picked from my garden and I thought it might be nice to add another dimension to my vase of flowers this time so I added a little food colouring to the water. I just happened to get almost the exact colour of the pinky purplish daisy. The boys also love it when I do this because the colour travels up the flowers and changes the colour of the petals.

This colour was 1 drop of blue colouring and 3 drops of red.

Simple Sunday

Around my home today....

Juicy lemons waiting to be used up.

Making Tea

Making for me is about so many things, I love to make just about anything. To me making is that thing that almost instantly takes me to that happy place, a place where nothing else matters. Lately I've been having lots of fun scrapping,  I've been playing with paint and my instax camera. But it wouldn't matter if it was sewing or drawing or even knitting, that place is always there for me to retreat to even if sometimes I forget it is there.

So what takes you to your happy place, what makes you forget the world around you or let's your thoughts flow freely?

Welcome

Welcome to my new little space. I have been thinking about this space for a long time now and although I am still not quite done with the ins and outs of being here I would rather be here than not. Ive missed blogging and in this space I hope to still share with you the parts of my life that make me happy and I will bring along parts of banana runkin here too (like an updated version of sprinkle packs) but it was time for a change and time for me to finally let go of some of my fears and jump into the unknown.

I still have a long way to go but in the end I think that I would like to share that with you. And that is why I am here before I am organised or ready.

 I am here because I make things. I am a maker.

That is what excites me and takes me to a happier place and I want to be able to share that love and happiness with others, because when it comes down to it we could all use a little more love and happiness in our lives.
